The SONY VP-9000P U-matic is a professional ¾-inch PAL player only, designed for high-quality playback and archival transfer. It supports Superior Performance (SP), High Band, and Low Band playback, making it ideal for digitizing a wide range of legacy U-matic tape content.

This machine gained widespread popularity in broadcast and institutional environments thanks to its versatility, supporting Low Band, High Band, and SP playback. Combined with its high-quality output, simplicity and reliable transport system, the VP-9000P became a trusted choice for professional use. Today, it remains one of the top options for archival-grade U-matic transfers.

Depending on your needs, we offer units:

  • With the existing drum installed and 3 month limited warranty
  • With a new upper drum and 12 month limited warranty

Before delivery, each deck undergoes a complete refurbishment process. We replace certain electronic components, install a new pinch roller, fit new belts, clean the idler drive wheels, lubricate and calibrate the mechanism. After servicing, our VP-9000P players meet—or often exceed—their original factory specifications.
