طوّرت Telefunken (الآن ANT) تقنية تقليل الضوضاء Telcom C4 المستخدمة على نطاق واسع في صناعة البث لتسجيلات الأشرطة الصوتية وشرائط الفيديو.
تم تقديم نظام C4 بعد عشر سنوات تقريباً من نظام دولبي لتقليل الضوضاء من النوع A. وقد حقق هذا النظام المكون من أربعة نطاقات نجاحًا تجاريًا ملحوظًا في ألمانيا وسويسرا والدنمارك، خاصة في قطاع البث.
At NextArchive, we first integrated Telcom C4 units into our 1/4” audiotape setup in 2016 while working on a project for the German broadcaster SWR. Our in-house designed solution allowed operators to activate or deactivate the C4 units seamlessly by following the blue Telcom C4 labels found on some of the 160,000 tapes slated for digitization. Whenever a C4 unit was activated, the operator selected a corresponding preset in Quadriga Audio and linked the unique tape ID (via barcode label) to the associated audio file for accurate documentation.
